vintage tuesday, visiting rachel ashwell's 'the prairie'

while we were in round top for the fall shows, we stopped by the prairie...rachel ashwell's breathtaking new bed & breakfast.  this was a huge highlight of our trip because we adore rachel ashwell.  absolutely adore.  and have for years and years!  my mom has all her books and even used to tape her old tv show back in the day.  anybody remember that?   it was sooo good!  rachel is such an inspiration.  we love her for her style, her shabby chic empire, her love of chippy vintage furniture, her soft white sheets and sweet floral fabrics ...and now we love her for coming to texas!  she has truly carved out a little slice of heaven right there in round top.  visit the prairie website here for more photos and info on the rooms/houses and rates.

there is even a shabby chic couture shop on site.

step to greet us...her dog!  the  little shop is
gorgeous.  chock full of shabby chic goodness.
my mom and i bought some t-shirts.  we were
pinching ourselves that we were here!

the sweet girl working at the shop told us we could
look around and walk over to the common area.
there was no one around (we wouldn't want to
bother any of the guests staying there), so we took
a peek around.  it is to die for you guys.
SO peaceful and pretty and ...so shabby chic,
but texas style!  enjoy the rest of the pictures and
